  5.
  6. 4. Based on Clinical Trial Results, do the stretches in the eBook after each Corrective Therapy Session.
  7.
  8. 5. Gradually increase intensity to as high as you can tolerate comfortably. There are 30 levels of intensity. Similiar to exercising you may feel mild muscle soreness after the first few sessions.
  9.
  10. 6. Make sure the pad is fully adhered to the skin. You will feel the muscles in your back contracting for 4 seconds & then relaxing for 10 seconds. These parameters have shown optimal results.

Device can be operated without the remote.

General Troubleshooting

  1. Lets first troubleshoot the device on the leg above the knee.
  2.

1. Ensure the treatment area is clean and void of any lotions, oils, etc...

2. Ensure the device is fully connected to the electrode gel pad.
*Try a new electrode pad for testing.*

3. Turn on the device and remote. A small connection symbol on the right side of the remote screen will illuminate.
4. Sit down and apply the electrode pad/device 1-3 inches above the Knee. Ensure it is fully adhered to the skin.
5. Begin increasing intensity on the remote. You will feel a sensation as you continue to increase the Intensity.
6. The device will contract the muscles for 4 seconds and then relax for 10 seconds.

  1. Not feeling stimulation: Switch to another electrode and try Increasing intensity manually on the device (+ button on the right side of the device) when it is above the knee.

Remote resets to 00 when increasing intensity: Switch to another electrode, ensure it is fully adhered to the skin and try again.

How To Charge Device/Remote

*The device/remote does not need to be charged after each use. After several uses, they require charging.*

Step 1. Ensure you are using a 5v output wall adapter or a computer USB port. (Most smartphone wall adapters are 5v output and all computer USB ports are 5v output. Higher outputs can damage the device.)

Step 2. Only use the double-ended charging cable included with the kit.

Step 3. Plug one of the ends of the double-ended charging cable into the device/remote.

A red light on the device will illuminate when charging.
A blue light will illuminate on the device when fully charged.

Device or Remote Won't Charge

*First please see the How to Charge Instructions Above*

Step 1.  Disconnect and reconnect the charging cable in the device/remote and plug it back in your power source.

Step 2. If it does not work, switch to another charge port/wall plug.

Step 3. Try switching each side of the double-ended charging cable.

Example:

If the device doesn't charge but the remote does, make sure it’s not one side of the double-ended cable that is not working by switching the device/remote to the other side.

If the light on the device does not turn blue, however, you are able to continue charging it and using it without functionality issues, please contact us.

How To Connect The Device & Remote

First, turn on the device, then the remote.

The device will flash a faint blue light when it is on. (It's easiest to see this in a darker room)

Once the device and remote are on, they will connect and the remote will display a connection symbol like so:

Device & Remote Won't Connect

*First, please ensure both the device and remote are turned on. Then see our How To Connect The Device & Remote section above.

Once you have verified the remote and device are on, please attach the device to an electrode pad if you have not already done so.

Adhere the electrode to your leg about 3 inches above your knee.

Begin increasing Intensity on the remote to level 15 or until you begin feeling the stimulation.

If the remote will not increase from the 00 intensity level, please try increasing the intensity manually on the device.

Erratic Stimulation or Sharp Pulses

Please ensure the device is charged and fully attached to the electrode pad.

Erratic or sharp pulses are due to the electrode making inadequate contact with the skin.

Ensure the electrode pad has been properly maintained and is in good condition. The electrode should be clean and free of any debris, hair, lint, etc.

Switch to a new electrode and ensure the electrode pad fully adheres to the skin. This may require you to adjust the position of the electrode and limit movement during the session.

How Can I Order Replacement Parts?

Replacement parts can be ordered here: https://getneuromd.com/collections/replacement-parts

Replacement Electrode pads can be ordered here: https://getneuromd.com/products/replacement-electrodes-3-pack

What Are The Electrode Pads Made Out Of And How Long Will They Last?

The electrode pads adhere to the body via the hydrogel area (similar to hospital EKG electrodes). Our electrodes have a long usage life of about 20-30+ applications. To maximize electrode pad life, make sure your skin is clean and does not contain any lotion before applying the pad. Using a wet towel to clean the hydrogel area of the electrode pad and allowing it to air dry will help restore pad adhesiveness and maximize usage life.

Other factors that affect electrode pad life expectancy are your skin type, oils, and pH levels. When a replacement is needed, please purchase electrode pads by clicking here.

Can I Use The Device On Other Areas Of My Body?

The NeuroMD Corrective Therapy Device can be used on other areas however, we do not recommend use on the front of the neck, across the chest, or on the head.
The device will improve musculoskeletal health and function on the area it is applied. For example, if you're having muscle spasms in your mid-back you would apply the device in that area.

In order to obtain the best degree of pain relief with NeuroMD, we recommend the following pad placement guidelines:

1. Take note of exactly where your pain is located. Outline the most concise and tender area of the pain.
2. The pad can be placed in one of three directions 1. vertical 2. horizontal 3. angulated.
3. It is advisable not to place the pad directly over a joint such as the knee, elbow, or ankle as its movement can alter the adherence of the pad.
4. Increase intensity gradually as each body part will tolerate a different level of intensity
Note: Pad placement, as well as Intensity level tolerance, varies from person to person. We recommend following our guidelines and do what feels best for you.

How Often Should I Use My NeuroMD Device?

We recommend following our Corrective Care Protocol Attached Below.

The NeuroMD Corrective Therapy Device can be used everyday however, If you experience muscle soreness, we recommend taking a break for 1-2 days.

Many of our customers use the device multiple times per day and studies have shown safe usage of NMES use up to 21 hours per week or 3 hours per day.

Studies show that increasing duration of treatment was not directly related to more successful outcomes; positive benefits were seen with short programs (2-2.5 hours/week).

How Often Should I Charge The Device/Remote

Charging frequency varies based on the intensity level used during the sessions. The device/remote does not need to be charged after each use. After several uses, they require charging. A good rule of thumb is charging every 3-9 uses.
