How Truemed works
Step 1Choose Truemed at checkout.Add a device to your cart. At the payment step, select Truemed (Pay with HSA/FSA).
Step 2Complete a brief health questionnaire.Truemed guides you through it during or after checkout. No in-person visit is required.
Step 3A clinician reviews your responses. An independent, licensed clinician determines whether you qualify. If approved, your Letter of Medical Necessity is stored in your Truemed account.
Step 4Pay or submit for reimbursement. If approved, pay directly with your HSA/FSA card, or pay with a regular credit or debit card and submit a reimbursement claim to your plan later. If you don’t qualify, you can choose another payment method.
Approval is not guaranteed. HSA/FSA card acceptance does not guarantee reimbursement; your HSA/FSA administrator makes the final decision on claims. NeuroMD cannot determine your plan’s eligibility.

About the Letter of Medical Necessity
Many HSA/FSA plans require a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) for devices like NeuroMD. You don’t need to get one on your own; Truemed handles it as part of checkout.
What it is
A letter from a licensed clinician documenting that a purchase supports your health needs.
How it’s issued
Based on your health questionnaire, an independent, licensed clinician in Truemed’s network decides whether to issue it. Approval is not guaranteed.
Where it’s kept
If approved, your LMN is stored in your Truemed account. Keep it with your itemized receipt in case your plan asks for documentation.
HSA/FSA questions, answered
Everything to know before you check out.
Are all NeuroMD products eligible?
No. Our three therapy devices (the Corrective Therapy Device®, the Whole Body Corrective Therapy Device 2.0 and the Foot & Lower Leg Corrective Therapy Device) are eligible through Truemed for qualified customers. Whether your purchase qualifies depends on Truemed’s clinician review.
For replacement pads and other accessories, check the product page or contact our support team before you check out.
Can I pay with my HSA/FSA debit card?
Yes. Select Truemed at checkout and complete the health questionnaire. If you’re approved, you can pay directly with your HSA/FSA card.
Card acceptance does not guarantee reimbursement; your HSA/FSA administrator makes the final decision on claims. NeuroMD devices are not eligible for reimbursement from a limited-purpose FSA (LPFSA) or a dependent care FSA (DCFSA).
Will I need a Letter of Medical Necessity?
Many HSA/FSA plans require one for devices like NeuroMD. When you select Truemed, you’ll complete a brief health questionnaire. If an independent, licensed clinician approves it, your LMN is stored in your Truemed account.
Can I get reimbursed after I buy?
If you paid through Truemed with a regular credit or debit card, you can submit a reimbursement claim to your HSA/FSA administrator with your LMN and itemized receipt. Your administrator makes the final decision, and neither NeuroMD nor Truemed can override it.
If you already bought without selecting Truemed, contact our support team. We email an itemized receipt with every order and can help with the reimbursement process.
What is Truemed?
Truemed is a third-party service built into our checkout. It connects qualified customers with independent, licensed clinicians who determine whether a purchase qualifies for HSA/FSA spending.
How much might I save?
It depends on your tax situation, and savings are not guaranteed. HSA and FSA dollars are pre-tax, so you don’t pay income tax on the money you spend. The table above is an illustration based on an assumed 30% tax rate, not a typical saving.
For advice about your situation, talk with your plan administrator or a tax professional.
What if I don’t qualify?
You can complete your purchase with another payment method. Our therapy devices still come with our 60-day at-home trial; see our shipping & returns policy for terms.
When do my FSA funds expire?
It depends on your plan. Many FSAs are use-it-or-lose-it at the end of the plan year, and some plans offer a grace period or a limited carryover. Your plan administrator can confirm your deadline. HSA balances roll over from year to year.
Can I return a product bought with HSA/FSA funds?
Yes. Therapy devices bought with HSA/FSA funds are covered by the same 60-day at-home trial as any other device order. The trial includes a 30-day minimum use period, and a disposal or restocking fee and return shipping are deducted from refunds. Refunds go back to your original payment method.
See our shipping & returns policy for full terms, including accessories.
